Cul-de-sac Video and Song Now Live

“Cul-de-sac”, the 2nd song from AJAYE's acoustic record “Silverline (Live at the Henhouse)” is now available on all streaming platforms, along with her live performance video.

Cul-de-Sac was inspired by a time in my life where everything felt... fine. Not terrible, not amazing—just stuck. I was doing all the things I thought I was supposed to do, but deep down, I knew I was looping through the same emotional patterns over and over. Safe, familiar, and honestly—exhausting.

The song came out of that realization.
That sometimes, the hardest thing isn’t breaking down—it’s admitting that “fine” isn’t enough anymore.
That maybe we weren’t meant to stay in the cul-de-sacs we build for ourselves—those loops of comfort, fear, and old stories that keep us from growing.

Leaving isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s slow. Gentle. Sometimes it’s just one quiet decision to want more—for yourself, for your heart, for your life.

That’s what this song is about.
It’s for anyone who’s ever felt the itch to leave the known behind. Who’s stood at the edge of change and thought, “Maybe I’m ready.”

If you’re in that place now, I hope Cul-de-Sac reminds you that you're not alone.
And that you’re allowed to want more.
